I and a lot of my friends have become Audio book fans over the last few years. I personally use Amazon Audiobooks and play them through my ipod. I have always been a big reader and scoffed at the idea of having someone read for me, till a friend talked me into trying it. Its awesome being able to "read" while driving, especially on the hour long trip to and from work. Only while in the truck though, ive found that the motorcycle is not the best place to listen to books. I have listened to and enjoyed books that I just wouldnt have ever sat down to read. I think its expanded my reading genres because I have listened to many just because I like a certain narrator and wanted to listen to their performance with other subjects. Two of my favorite narrators (in order) are Jim Dale (most noted for Harry Potter and won several awards and is in the guiness book of world records)and R.C. Bray (Expeditionary Force) who has a destinctive New England accent that just works somehow. I thought it would be cool to see if we have any audio book fans here and maybe we can share suggestions on good books and favorite narrators and such. I also have some suggestions on free editing software.
