Yeah, now if they just don't steal Moose from us come deadline time . . . Will be Mucho Bummed!

If we are in the heat, we are expected to be shopping but with not being able to probably afford more than 2 of our quite popular free agents after the year is over, we may well lose part of our core.

    LET'S PLAY BALL!

    Then theres this;

Report: Pablo Sandoval is interested in reuniting with Giants
Ashley Varela,NBC Sports 3 hours ago

FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman reports that third baseman Pablo Sandoval may be interested in a reunion with the Giants, according to an unnamed source close to the infielder. It’s not the first time the two have been linked, and Heyman adds that the Giants have expressed some unofficial interest in bringing Sandoval back to San Francisco. The Red Sox designated Sandoval for assignment on Friday and have nine days remaining to facilitate a trade before he passes through waivers. Assuming he gets released after clearing waivers, any team he signs with will only be responsible for the minimum salary requirements, leaving Boston to pick up the rest of his $95 million check.

Sandoval, 30, failed to impress during his three-year stay in Boston. He slashed .245/.292/.366 with the Red Sox in 2015 and sat on the bench for all but three games of the 2016 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He returned to the Sox’ lineup in 2017, but batted an underwhelming .212/.269/.354 with four home runs and a .622 OPS through the first half of the season.

Returning to San Francisco could give Sandoval the change of pace he needs for a bounce-back performance, but it also comes with its fair share of controversy. The two sides didn’t part amicably in 2014, when the veteran infielder made some disparaging comments about the team and cited a lack of respect between general manager Brian Sabean and his former agent, Gustavo Vasquez. Sandoval appears to have had a change of heart in the years since his departure, and there’s no doubt the Giants could use another glove in the hot corner, but whether the two can come to an agreement remains to be seen.

    What?
"The Giants could use another glove in the hot corner". Yeah, right, but Sandovals got no glove. He made 21 errors in a short season with Boston.

Yup, as I feared a few pages back, this is looking a LOT like 2013 before the 2 WS runs. We got off to a horrible start, scratched and clawed back to .500 by the All Star break, and then lost 9 straight and 18 total in July. Got hot again in August but had just dug too deep a hole. Lost 3 to LA before the break and now 2 to Texas [AGAIN!] so we have now lost 5 straight after winning every single series in June except for one that we tied 2-2.

It's just enough to turn you into to the rootinest tootinest shootinest rasto frackin mosta blackin . . . gaud I hate that wabbit!

Tried to lose 3 to Texas too. Up 1-0, tied 1-1, up 2-1 tied 2-2, up 3-2 tied 3-3. Here we go again! But, managed to get a walk off today when Texas right fielder Choo lost a hard shot Cain hit in the sun that should have been the third out after we had loaded the freakin bases. It was scored a hit. Just somewhat ironic that Cain was fighting the sun horribly all day and made some amazing catches one time waving Gordon to get the hell over there because he had obviously completely lost that one in the sun but then managed at the last minute to grab it. So, at least it ain't going to be 9 straight this year and our only saving grace is, like all year, the Twins and Indians [frankly the whole AL Central] are sucking right now too so we are not losing any ground . . . yet!

I don't know why but just like we have had the Angels number the last few years for no apparent reason, the Rangers have had ours . . . we had lost 12 straight to Texas until today.

A little of this and a little of that.
Trade deadline approaching...who is selling-who is buying?

Can the lovable loser Cubs repeat?

Will the Dodgers continue their spectacular win pace?

Can Houston hold on to win the AL?

When will Adrián Beltré hit his 3,000th?

Well that remains to be seen. We've Dramatically under performed during the first half. We'll have to Dramatically Over perform in the second. So far doing pretty well.

This game is pretty amazing. Though deep down I think our Royals have too many holes to even get to the post season much less beyond . . . have lost 3 starters for extended periods and one for the season, still a questionable bullpen [with amazing potential though] and even a questionable closer in Herrera, Alex Gordon still hitting less than .200 and our DH just finally got above .200 yesterday. But, get this, after getting swept by LA before the break, we lose 2 of 3 to Texas, and we just split 2-2 with Detroit, because the Twins and Indians both suddenly suck too, we are sitting at .500 but are just 1 1/2 games out of 1st place.

The first 2 games of the Detroit series we lost by a total of 19-5. Can't pitch, can't hit, Hosmer even made 2 errors, looking like April all over again.

Last night, against Verlander, we had the game won 2-1, brought in Herrera in the top of the 9th to close the deal, he walks the first hitter then throws 98 right down the middle to Mahtook [who?], blasts a home run to deep center field, blows the save and we're down 3-2. So we come up in bottom of the 9th and win in a walk off.

Tonight, against Fulmer, the new Detroit ace, we win 16-4, set team records for hits, and for scoring 4 runs in 4 different innings.

I still love the fight in this team. Despite all the roster holes, they absolutely do NOT give up. As a fan, you just gotta love that!
