Where to buy truck wheels?

Seems like an easy question.

Many of you got good looking wheels, where did you get them? I know we all live in different parts of the country, but in general, where did you go?

I only know of American's (Discount) tire company. Is that the place to get "truck" wheels? That's all I know. With these national chains, I know what to expect.

Yes, there are locals shops, but I'm not sure of the quality, reputation, and service after the sale.

Or ebay?

Looking at forums, some (import Honda) car sites show how cheap wheels fall apart at the track. I would think the quality and safety of the wheel would matter more just because of the size, weight, and punishment for a truck.

Any advise for the newbie on wheels?

I shop at Discount Tire Direct. They have been fairly active on TW lately and if you have an issue they will take care of you. They also price match if I recall correctly. They seem like good people.

Bought last 3 sets of wheels from dt/dtd, no complaints.

4wp has pretty good sales every now and then.

A vendor on here as a pretty good following, scs wheels.

 

Custom offsets was the best price for a tire/wheel package when I bought mine.

Got my last set of tires from Tread Depot. They had the best deal for what I wanted at the time.

 

Need more vintage wheels from Japan! Just got my rebuilt SSR Auswuch in the mail yesterday. Forged faces, spun barrels... definitely going to experience a performance benefit.

 

Americas Tire has done a great job for me on tires and wheels for my Tacoma's and Tundra.
