At that point you're splitting hairs, imo.
Go with what you think will look best.

I mentioned adding positive scrub radius earlier...
If you choose to go to a taller tire later on, it would negate some of it...not much, but some. A 2" taller tire would allow for 1/4" of positive scrub.

Measure your wheel studs. I believe they are more than an inch long. If the back of your rim is flat, it would hit the studs before making good contact with the spacer. Thus needing to shorten the studs. Some rims have voids in the mounting surface. The studs fall into those voids, since they fall between the studs of the spacer. I don't know your rims. 1 1/4" is safe with any rim, but I just don't like the super wide look.

Go with Bora or Spydertraxx if you use spacers.
Torque them to specs and recheck them after 50 miles.
Heard to many horror stories to go with anything else.
I just installed 1" Boras on my 17 Tacoma. Really like the look with my new wheels.

Since I see some mention on wheel bearing longevity I can give my experience.
I ran Spidertracks about 150,000 (from about 15k to about 165k) on my 04 4Runner with 285s (Should be basically the same part). I did it to fit the larger tires on the stock wheels, I’m wired I guess in that I usually like stock wheels over aftermarket.

In that 150,000 I had to change my front wheel bearings three times. Though the first time I let a shop do it because I was too busy and I found out later when I went to replace that side too soon, that they did a terrible job. I replaced them as I needed them, not in sets so it seemed like even more often as I had to do it about six times.
The first bearing went roughly around 60k, so maybe expect 40k-50k between bearing failures with spacers. That seems like more often than it should be to me, but it’s up to you if it is worth that cost. At the time it was for me, and at some point in the future it could be also. I know the 4Runners and Tacos are known in the forum to chew through these bearing which is why there was at some point someone making preassbled bolt in hubs. I wonder if that is because we all use spacers and wider offset wheels, or if all Toyota’s do this.

I don’t mind having a wider offset wheel and putting more strain on wheel bearings, but I don’t trust anything bolted in addition between my hub and wheel.. especially a non factory piece.

Meh, just check the torque once in a while. Not a big deal.

O have spidertrax on my 07 FJ Cruiser and they have never given me a problem. So far I have about 7,000 miles on the ones on my Tacoma and no issues. They make a quality product and I like the added stance/look it gives both my vehicles.

How is your wheel set up holding up? Any bearing/suspension issues?
