    Hey all,
I was working on trying to swap out my sway bar bushing and end links, and it looks like the bolts holding on the sway bar need some kind of special socket? It looks from the bottom like they are almost square. Does anyone know what kind of socket is needed and what it is called?

If its what im thinking, those are welded to the bracket, and the bolts you put a wrench on are on the top. You can't really see them and have to feel around for them. At least that's the way my 2004 is...

12mm from the top; ordinary socket. Just changed my bushings yesterday.

Just cut them off when you toss your sway bar.

    Just kidding.

What are you doing? Keep in mind too that the nuts that go onto the end links are deformed thread nuts. So it'll be a bastard to turn them on or off.

I know many of you Taco owners don't want ANY sway bars, but I require them on my ride. So, when I found out that my stamped steel sway bar brackets were actually cracked when I bought the truck, so I bought & installed billet aluminum bushing brackets from Hotskiss.

These brackets even have zerk fittings for greasing so the bar doesn't chew up your new poly bushings! Notice in the photo that I simply cut the original bracket nuts off of the broken Brackets and utilized them with the original bolts to secure my new brackets. The old nuts are welded to the bracket, so I left some bracket welded to the nut to prevent them from turning during installation.
