no. that will require going to the dealer. haven't had time. working more than usual this last month. want to complain. but shouldn't. more work is more $$ for me. (sales) but when i do take it in i'll let you all know the response.

body shop i had the truck at hadn't ever heard of what i was talking about.

 

OP, where was your truck made? If it was in Mexico, your Taco may have been used to smuggle something into the states. This is based off the assumption that device is a tracker.

 

Tracker. A lot of company vehicles like tow trucks and what not have them. Tapping in there and sometimes plugging into the OBDII port gives all sorts of info

 

I skimmed and was agreeing it was a gps. Sounds like someone didnt read through their paper work they were signing.

 

There was no trucks in the color/option combo I wanted to buy -- the dealer put in a order to Toyota to get it built --took 8 -9 weeks to get it -- my order was assigned a build number etc-etc. If this is not a factory order --I don't know what is!
BTW -it was a blue SR5 4x4 AC AT with ONLY factory tow pkg. -nothing else.
In the US if your dealer tells you can't order your truck --THEY ARE flat out Lieing

 

I ordered my Truck too. I got a blue TRD Sport double cab long bed. A factory order usually means a vehicle that has options or features not usually offered. For instance if I was able to order a rear locker on my sport or get 4.10 gears on my truck. That would be a factory ordered truck. What we got is usually called a dealer ordered truck.

 

I ordered my truck too, took 3 or 4 months for them to build and deliver it to the Dealer.

 

Thanks for the terminology --Call it whatever -- I told the dealer what EXACTLY I wanted -- they ordered it specially for me --There was no trucks set up like the one I wanted in the build plans for the plant (San Antonio) --they inserted the order for mine. Call it whatever anyone prefers --my truck happened.
