I have one of the original black powder coated ones and love it. I mounted my own pods in it but he makes a good product.

You mean where the "toyota" lights up? Mine just has the cutouts for pods where I mounted Baja designs pods. If it's the one where toyota lights up that's a little gay.

I would give him a call and switch to the one with the pods or that takes a light bar. I just think the "toyota" cutout looks tough but not backlit. He is a good dude and will work with you. If you are questioning it now I doubt you will be happy with it.

I was somehow amazed with the whole lighting up thing. Since my Taco is white i chose the white lettering and white lights behind it, looks badass-->>>

Hey it might look cool on your rig man. Quality will not be an issue. Mine is a couple years old and looks new. If you like it that's all that matters. And it's still cheaper than some other ones on the market.

Perhaps ill give him another call. I talked to him earlier in the day and he's one of the reasons i chose the light up feature. Yeah i get that he just wanted to make some cash off of me but i still value his opinion. And I've never really been a fan of "traditional" light bars and anything related to the look. i like the way my rigid duallys look

I doubt he is trying to screw you. He made me a great deal getting the grille and lights from him. It might look really cool in person. My preference on lights is more function over style but to each his own. I bet you will be the only MF around that has one.

Yeah i figured because in my area I've only seen a handful of tacos with custom grilles and so many peeps here have tacos, so not anyone would have one like it:D and the purpose of it is to just look good for my personal reasons. i have my 4 rigid lights in the front and 2 in the back for funtionality.
