Didn't realize I put this in the 2nd gen area first. So this is a repost to 3rd gen area. Sorry guys. " yeah, but still"

I'm a bit of a diy guy and with some stuff laying around and a couple trips to the depot you can put some mods together for really cheap. I'm by no means make the cleanest sh!t, but it works and learn as I go along. I'll eventually clean the mounts up and refine and paint, but till then I'll keep with what I got. Here's a bunch of stuff I've been working the past couple months.

    - GPS mount out of a Go Pro mount.
    - Phone or tablet mount out of a motorsport suction mount
    - gun and mag mounts. I'm right handed, so pistol on right side for accessibility and left have for mag reloads. You know, if I get into a fire fight in the driver seat. :D

    - Cb radio and antenna. Still working out the antenna set up.

    - ditch light mounts. I'm still going to clean them up and add some rubber spacers to stabilize them a little.

    - instruct bed rails. I going to space them out more to the wheel well and make them the full length of the bed.

    - rail mounts for axe, shovel and fire extinguisher with quick fists.

    - and of course bottle opener from a stocking stuffer

    - Also did some dipping on the grill and emblems

I have a bunch of other ideas as well like some hidden USB posts for the tablet and GPS.

nice work. question regarding the fire extinguisher mount. What did you use to hold the metal bracket to the bed rail? I'm trying to figure out how to mount my 4.5' ABS pipe that holds my onboard water for outings

That almost looks like standard unistruts you can buy from Lowe's or home Depot.

you may want to put a rubber barrier or something between the cab and the CB antenna mount.. any bed shifting and that bad boy will cause some major damage... otherwise all great looking/useful mods!

I'd use this for the water. It will be a bit more weight then the extinguisher. For the backing in the rail use 1"X 2" x 1/8" flat bar with 2x 3/8" nuts jb welded on the back. Let the weld set for a couple hours duh. Kind of gangsta but works great. Drill a hole through the flat bar with the 2x nuts, jb welded on the back, with 2x 3/8 hex head bolts from the front. As the jb weld sets, I screwed the bolts through the holes and nuts so it sets right with the alignment of the two. The bracket is 2" x 1/8" with the bottom bent for support. Use your own measurements for length and depth for the support. I'd make as long as you can so you can mount other things in the future. I know photos speak better than words. I can take more detailed photos later today if need. I hope this is clear.

It's 5/8" unistrut with spring nuts. I'd use the plastics spring nuts it holds better to me. I used 3/8" eye bolts for stealing. I'd also cut them to full Leingth of the bed and mount them right to the base of the wheel wells. I'll widen my later. Just more room to strap things down.

Haha I been out of the mil for a few years and kept my extra patches there bc I always forgot them and didn't realize till after morning PT. Saved me some smoking sessions. Those are there now bc of a drunken Saturday and got patch happy haha

I have done a couple small hills and yes it did rub a little. I can shave off a little more from the bracket but I think I'll move it to the rear. Just looks like a RC car in the back till I get a bed rack.

And thanks. The unistrut works great. Didn't fit in the bed grooves but fine. I will eventually spray them with someone's liner.
