SPEC D HEADLIGHTS (anyone ?)

Well I got some blacked out Euro headlights off of Amazon about 3 monthes ago . They look great but even after sealing them with GE silicone II today I noticed the driver side fogged up . It did dry out and I applied more silicone but does any one have any experience with Spec -D headlights? Might be replacing my Amazon lights if I can't stop them from fogging . I should have spent more money on lights I guess .

 

They are known to leak/fog and have poor optics so light output is reduced from stock.

 

Not good .Any recommendations on a blacked out headlight . No chrome please , thank you .

Spyder makes Spec-D. Do some searching on the site to read all the reviews. They are not recommended.

For best quality I would go with the the dark smoked chrome OEM sport lights, see the example in the ultimate headlight upgrade link in my sig. If you didn't want to go that route I would look at the BHLM mod where you you pull apart your OEM lights and paint the bezel black. Lastly I would look at Depo, which people seem to like but recommend re-siliconing the seals as they sometimes leak.

 

im just going off of personal experience, I had spyder headlights on my ranger for years with no issues. maybe buddy just got lemons

 

I used to be sponsored by them. I had their original halogen projectors at first and they were alright. I got the very first set of their new HID projectors and I'm extremely pleased with them. I got the chrome ones and had them custom painted, they make blacked out ones too
