Im all about this, and I get the fact we are driving 16 year old trucks and style doesn't matter but honestly that set up looks less than stellar. Do the holes need to be drilled in those particular places where the screw holes are blatantly visible? Would strong 3m tape work instead of drilling into our covers? (Ive taped on lower valances on movie cars which have done over 150 MPH with no issues). The mount looks overly tough however the way the plastics bolt to the mount look junky. Not trying to bash but just come up with more creative ways to use your product.

I am not the seller, however looking at the attach points on the stock part, and the upgraded bracket, it may have more screw heads visible but will surely mount it more securely. I may take it a step further and use some nice allen buttonheads but really I care more about the fact that the side cover wont be coming off anymore.

Idk man, we are lucky he went through this trouble to make SOMETHING that keeps these damn things from breaking. If you have your own idea you'd like to imagine, design, create, and produce in large quantities then you may do so!

Not saying it's free, but I'm sure it was a lot of trouble to do all this. Very thankful a solution has been created.

My side covers are already broke. When I had my seat reupholstered they tried to fix it, and it held great for about a month. But now it is time to do something more drastic. Screw heads be dammed. If I wanted a street queen mall crawler that looked good parked I wouldn't of bought a truck that I also used. Looking at the original design, even a replacement piece will fail. Toyota's design was sub par in my opinion. I see this is an upgrade. For those that do not have broken side covers, and do not foresee this issue, then it may not be worth it to them. This is just my 2cents.

A new cover that has not been broke on the backside may never need screws. The plate might take enough pressure off it to be fine. That cover i used is completely busted off on the backside. You could always paint the screw heads to match the plastic. Those screws i used were counter sunk oval head stainless steel.

Also do to the shape and contours getting a close enough fit for 2 sided tape would require machining or a press mold. You'd never be able to get a sheet metal piece to have tolerances close enough any other way. You have to look at cost vs function vs form.

Yes its easy to install. Just have to drill a few holes. I'll make a video and include instructions.

Count me in! Drivers side PLEASE! I've been using a cheesy ziptie for way too long!!!

    Paypal sent.

If you have any kind of lift (or you're vertically challenged) you're gonna break that dang cover off no two ways about it. So glad somebody came up with what looks like a great idea.
