RIP Chester Bennington lead singer of Linkin Park

    Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has reportedly committed suicide at age 41, according to TMZ. TMZ reports Bennington hanged himself at a Palos Verdes Estates residence in L.A. County. Billboard has reached out to reps for the band and authorities for confirmation. Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed to Billboard there was a death on Bennington's Palos Verdes block on the morning of Thursday, July 20.

    Bennington struggled with drug and alcohol addictions at various times during his life. He was married and is survived by six children.

    Depressing. He was close friends with Soundgarden's Chris Cornell (who hung himself a few months ago)...today would have been Chris Cornell's birthday. According to what I just read anyhow.

    Scott Weiland, Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington all this year. I need to reevaluate the music I admired growing up...

    One step closer was the first song I ever "downloaded" when napster was the thing. Meteora was my jam in my early teens. Theres alot of artists that have passed in the last few years and they are all heartbreaking, but this one kinda put today on a stand still.
