I recently purchased the 2016 V6 4x4 Tacoma and am looking to see if anyone has done the upgrade to the chrome cold air intake kit from K&N with the conical filter. Any issues with installation? Any codes being kicked out due to sensors?
I want to add that little throaty intake sound with the slight horsepower increase offered. Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Don't waste your money on a noise maker as that is all you will get. No performance gains such as HP, MPG. Just noiseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Truck already comes with a Cold Air Intake, and the paper filter works just fine.

For what its worth- I put a K&N drop-in filter on my 2017 off road.
I only noticed a "Smoothing Out" of the throttle response and maybe, maybe, 1, 1&1/2 MPG gain... but that might be because I'm not mashing the gas to get up and go already.
Sounded only slightly different, again, Smoother and kinda' "lower-ish"?
I do think the K&N helps a little when trying to find that cruse speed where your MPGs are reasonable and you are happy with your MPHs all at the same time.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong... I so often am.
