What jim said below is ur best bet. My uncle worked for a lock smith and they sold and installed safes; he said they have a machine that climbs stair for them. Money well spent i would wager

so I'm looking at 22lr rifles, specifically looking to shoot at 100 yards. I found the CZ 455 is the most accurate out of the box according to the internet...

i found the threaded and non threaded barrel versions.

One is 20.5" the other 16.5"

I would like a can in the future but i can't get past a $200 stamp, its ridiculous.

    What are your guys thoughts?

There's not much velocity difference between a 16" and 20" 22lr. If you're using a scope the extra barrel length for iron sights isn't a factor. A threaded barrel can't hurt in case you decide to pony up the fee or suppressors are removed from the NFA.

Make sure your upper floor is strong enough to handle the weight of the safe. Sounds obvious, but...

And, pay a safe mover - they have some really cool toys.

455 is a great gun. "Most accurate" is relative. I have a Kimber 82g I'd put up against any 455, and I get trounced on the regular by guys with Anschutz rifles. If you're only shooting 100 yds, you'll be fine with either barrel length.

I am definitely not worried about the value, it would probably be worth more with the rust cleaned up and something better than the stock furniture.

Check to make sure your floor can handle the weight of your safe first.

    Edit---

    Oops, late to the party...

I meant compared to other 22lr rifles in that price category. But thank you. I was hoping to spend less than $400 on the rifle. Which I won't buy until Christmas time most likely.

Is there another rifle you guys would suggest? Do you think I should go a 10/22 route?

A 10/22 is a fun way to spend money, a lot like an AR. Drop a match barrel in it and it'll shoot great. You can go crazy with accessories. A CZ is more for someone who wants something a little more classy & who doesn't have the itch to constantly mod their gun.

Any recommendations for some glass and rings on a .22 cz455? Budget of $400 or less for glass alone. Just target shooting.

I was looking at the vortex diamondback 3.5-10x50. I'm no expert on this stuff though

Realistically I won't be shooting out past 100 yards very often but I'd like to have the magnification to get nice and close. The 3-12 seems like a great choice. What's the difference between the regular diamondbacks and the HP series?

Not sure, no experience with the diamondback series, just the viper PST.

    This if from vortex though.
    DIAMONDBACK® HP RIFLESCOPES
The Diamondback® HP (High Performance) riflescopes offer a full-on array of high-performance features that discerning hunters are sure to appreciate—game animals, not so much. Optically, these scopes hit the proverbial mark: XD extra-low dispersion glass increases resolution and color fidelity while XR fully multi-coated lenses maximize every minute of shooting light. The side focus/parallax adjustment is easily accessible while keeping a trim profile and allowing optimal mounting height. And, with a 4x zoom range, the Diamondback HPs offer highly versatile magnification configurations to suit a wide variety of firearms and shooting applications. Okay, it seems the buck does stop here.

    DIAMONDBACK® RIFLESCOPES
Diamondback® riflescopes completely change the rules when it comes to “you get what you pay for.” First, the solid one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum alloy construction makes them virtually indestructible and highly resistant to magnum recoil. Argon purging puts waterproof and fog-proof performance on the checklist and the advanced, fully multi-coated optics raise an eyebrow when crystal clear, tack-sharp images appear in the cross-hairs. All this and then some in a riflescope that seems like it should cost so much more—but doesn’t.

Savage Mark II is the most accurate 22LR under $400 I've found.
