Just wanted to post another data point for the Walmart Everstart battery, which is a Johnson Controls battery just like all the others. My 2004 Corolla which sits and is in need of selling, needed a new battery. Didn't need the best battery, but didn't want the cheap battery either, so I got the Everstart Plus 35 series for $75.

June 2017 battery date code - CCA rating is 525 Amps. Actual measured CCA rating is 705 Amps!! (Measured with Snap On battery tester)

My Tacoma is next for a new battery (it's battery is 50% State of Health) and an Everstart Max is probably what I will be getting...unless I can swing upgrading the alternator and battery to a 14V system for my stereo.
