I also vote for Amsoil. I've used it in two of my previous trucks, though they were both diesel's (Ford F250 6.9L Navistar, Dodge 5.9L Cummins).

I also sent in samples from every oil change to Blackstone Labs for analysis and always got back a clean bill of health in each truck.

What really sold me on Amsoil is the following.

I sold my 2001 Dodge Cummins powered truck in 2015 to a guy who is a mechanic at a local car dealership. I had not previously met or known him before he bought the truck. I had used Amsoil Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine engine oil and Donaldson filters since I bought the truck brand new. I changed oil every 10K and the filter every 5K miles. When I sold the truck it had 150K miles on it. The guy who bought the truck called me a few weeks after the sale to ask me what oil I had been using. I told him, and asked why he wanted to know. He said that he took the truck into his dealership and pulled the head, to check the general condition of the engine. He claimed that he could still see the original factory hone marks in the cylinder walls. Meaning there had been extremely little wear over the 15 years/150K miles I had owned the truck.

Now some of this might be due to really precise machining at the Cummins assembly plant, but obviously the oil made a considerable [positive] difference as well.

This has been my experience. Others may have different experiences with Amsoil, or other synthetics.

but on a serious note, german oil takes a shit on American oil on a molecular level. like its not even close how far ahead german oil is compared to any
American oil and that's a fact. this is just one example of a german brand that puts American oil to shame.

Just because it says Mobil 1 on the car doesn't mean that's what they're running.

Of course not. But if there was a clear choice, then everyone would know it and everyone would be running it. And we all know that is not the case.

Amsoil makes a European car motor oil. The standards are different in Europe. Not necessarily better but different.

Interesting report from Blackstone Labs. Interesting reading and basically came to the same conclusion as all these oil threads do... they all are fine.
