No warranty so Toyota won't do it, i also read that the General Spring leaf springs are slightly more heavy duty than the factory OEM TSB. Which is what i would prefer since some people say that the rear has eventually sat lower than the front with the same setup with the TSB. So $400 will be worth it to me in the end

    Don't need warranty for recalls

Unless you mean your truck is not part of the recall

Well I will call my local Toyota dealership again and see what they will do, tell them its a harsh ride when towing etc. First guy i talked to did seem a little lost..maybe ill figure something out. Won't be able to until Monday though. In the mean time I will still be fine with ordering the General Springs, they are "better" according to what others have to say about them compared to the TSB OEM leaf pack

Just go in there and tell them you need your leaf springs inspected and replaced under recall. Get those new leafs for free and add a three leaf progressive add a leaf pack.

You can also check to see if your vehicle has any open recalls. Just Google "does my car have recalls" and some websites will come up.

I did google if it needed a recall once before and if i remember correctly i found that it was not listed for any recalls. I could be wrong of course.

As for an aal with a 4 leaf pack, im trying to get the truck level with 5100s up front set at 1.75". So an aal with a 4 leaf pack would give me a forward rake which I wouldnt prefer. Although if it does sag eventually, with the rear being lower than the front, then that would have to be the route for me to take

The problem with just leveling the front is as soon as you tow or carry any weight in the bed you're driving around with the nose of the truck in the air.

Right, not too big of a deal imo, since i dont need to tow often. Although i did think about it, which is why the General Springs sound good to me, due to them being slightly more "heavy duty" than the OEM 4 leaf pack, which should be enough to compensate for most of the truck being nose high when towing
