Technically I'm in Emerson Automation Solutions, but they change it so often it's hard to keep up. We were Instrument & Valve Services for the previous decade until they started changing everything.

Wow, this was the last time I checked this thread. I definitely need to catch up in here, because I needed a tarp recently and this would have been perfect :frusty:

Milwaukee and Ryobi are made in the same factory by the same company now.... TTI, they also own iconic brands like Hoover too.

Has anyone checked the calibration on their torque wrenches? I may have to drag one into work and check it.

I checked it on the same bolt with my Snap-On once, although I still cannot vouch that either are good at their jobs.

Did you notice a delta between the two? I have a torque tester at work but being where I work it's kinda a PITA.

TBH I wasn't being all that scientific. Any bolt that the Snap-On had touched was as tight or tighter than the HF wrench's setting. There wasn't a case where the HF tightened anything more than the Snap-On. So maybe it is under rated a slight bit, I haven't had problems with either though.

Also worth noting that the Snappy has never been re-calibrated and is 4 years old.

I have actually never had a problem with power tools from HF. I did replace my $13(ish) (after coupon) angle grinder, after 3 years. Easily worth the money. I also have the electric impact gun. Trigger is takes some getting used to, but it works fine. Same with the hedge trimmer and leaf blower, works well. These are not tools I use all day every day, but they work well enough for the price point and I still have money in my pocket when I am done.

Electric (corded) or battery? I have no problem buying power tools from them that are corded. But I have had bad expierence in the past buy I g battery tools from them. I bought a power drill when I needed a cheap one on vacation. It worked fine for it's needed use, but just a few months later battery would no longer hold a charge, and HF had discontinued it so I couldn't even get a new battery. Maybe they make much better stuff now, but I have built up a collection of Ryobi one+ tools so I don't even try.

Corded. HF changes the batteries they use about 2 to 3 years so I don't even bother with those.
