    I added some small d-rings to the underside of my cover, then bungee cords down to the cargo rings in the bed. It helps tension the cover down some, keeps it from banging up and down over bumps. It helps seal the cover to the tailgate, for rain and such. It doesn't address the other 3 joints, but might be something you want to consider.
