Yeah, that's what I plan to do. I debated screwing in the mount there vs just using velcro. I'd like to avoid putting holes in the dash if I can, but that area is pretty hidden. I'll probably go the velcro route and screw in the mount if the velcro doesn't hold it well.

I may yet just stick with the Velcro mount. I don't want to permanently mount it there; if I plan on keeping it there I'll just stick with the Velcro. It would be nice to put it in the cubby under the climate controls, but that will require drilling some holes which I'd rather not do. Might also be a stretch for the cable I have, and it would also be a pain to unplug if I'd want to take it out.

Op you still haven't found your plug?

Aso, are you sure it has the tow package?

No, I haven't found it yet. I've been out of town and haven't looked again either. I'll be hunting it down later today. I think with that last video I posted and @PA452's description, I may have better luck.

Yeah, I do have the tow package.

Holy shit I found it. Where are you all screwing in the ground wire? Honestly I'm done dicking around under there and want the easiest place possible. I pulled up the foot rest and I'm thinking of screwing it in under there.

Just get a self tapping screw in drill into the body at the rear of the footwell.

You don't even need to do that. I'll have to go check where, but I found an existing hole in something, I just put a little bolt through that.

Here's where I screwed it in. Bottom right. Gets covered by the foot rest, then my weathertech floormats.
