New - No Tacoma Yet

I don't currently have a Tacoma. Once upon a time we had a 96 4x4 xtra cab. My wife sold that and got... a.. new beetle. Strange decision indeed, but it was her truck.

Now, later in life, I'm looking at getting a 3rd gen TRD Off-Road and mildly equipping it to do some local overland camping and traveling with it. I want to go on adventures with my son as we live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and there ought to be plenty of places to go explore away from the connected world.

I've been a firm believer in Toyota's reliability because history has shown it. Right now I'm on the fence on getting a Tacoma as there seems to be a lot of problems with the new trucks. Maybe they need another year or two?
