Just from what I've spoke with Marie at HS, I'm thinking of 5100s and 885 OME coils in the front to bring it up (hopefully about 1.7") and leave the back stock for now. If it rakes at all then maybe AAL in the back. But that's the tentative plan.

I'm not sure about your situation with 33s, I'm no pro at all, but from what I've gathered there may be some trimming needing done for such a large tire without doing more suspension wise.

Remember I am noob at this, so take all this as speculation.

Unfortunately, we do not make guarantees as far as wheel and tire fitment go because the combinations are endless and each combination varies. I typically advise my customers to check on the forums to see what others are running in way of wheels/tires and see what lift height and what trimming, if any, may be needed in order to clear. With that being said most people report needing around 3" to try to clear 33's. Again it can vary though.

So what's my best best to get 3 inches? A set of icons and a spacer? That's the route I may take since I can't do the 5100 math lol

Just finished test driving new DCSB OR and DCSB Sr5 at my local dealer. Took Fam along with car-sick sensitive daughter.

All agreed that OR model was too "floaty/bouncy" on freeway and in town on rough road and coming to stops. SR5 rode much better overall. The price difference between models favors th OR value wise and I will be using truck on dirt roads and sand.

Will replacing stock OR front shock or both front and rear shocks with Gen 3 5100s improve or stiffen ride? More specifically, will the upgrade remove most or eliminate the floaty/bouncy ride of the OR model?

From the feedback I have most people feel like it is a firmer ride then stock especially if you pair it with one of the lift coils. They say it stiffens the ride up but in a good way that feels like it supports the weight of the truck better, of coarse each persons perception of ride quality varies.

Will I achieve any lift in the rear with just 5100's and factory coils?

No. Rear shocks really only accomdate lift they do not provide it. If you wanted to lift the rear you would have to have a block, add-a-leaf, leaf pack replacement, etc.

Looks great. This is the 0.65" setting? How's the ride changed from stock? This is what I am after.

    Hi @HeadStrong Off-Road:

OK, if I'm reading this thread correctly (LOL), Bilstein 5100s can replace OEM shocks using stock front coils and bolt-in rears, correct?

On my 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, I'm running stock tires with stock (Bilstein shocks) suspension and TRD 16" wheels. I want to replace the OEM shocks with the front and rear Bilstein 5100 set, with the front selected at the second clip, .65 and the rear set at 0.00. Obviously the rear would be "standard" NOT the "extended" length, right? Will this work?

Here's a picture of my rig. All stock, no lift. I know you like the Quicksands, LOL.

    My bad, 3rd notch (1.1')
The freeway and street ride is stock smooth. On street bumps its just a tad bit stiffer, not much really. On the dunes (Pismo Beach) it did good. Im still diggin em:kona:

Correct and the standard length would be all that you would need :kona:

Hey Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road , since your the pro here, lookin to see what my best options are for about 2.5-3 inch lift on a 2017 DC TRD Sport. Possibly to make room for some bigger tires. And whether or not I'd need some new UCAS. Day commuter only off-road on occasion.
