I unplugged my battery for 30 minutes to reset my ECU, but when I plugged it back in my clock was off but I did not have to reset my radio channels. I was under the impression that the channels would need to be reset if the ECU was fully restarted. Do I need to unplug the battery for longer? Seems like 30 minutes should have rest it.

Was thinking of doing something to my truck, bought another watch instead, I'll just give it a good cleaning this week.

Good looking truck, although I am a little impartial.

Got a nice scuff in the paint moving my shit out of storage. It'll buff out, or so I say. It's ok, doing #truckthings

I will say I really love the movable bedrail tie-down system. So smart. I had an F-150 helping me and it was a struggle to find good cargo strap positions with awkward loads.

Also, finally purchased a standard ball hitch (as opposed to my WD setup for the travel trailer) to make moving part 2 a little easier with a cargo trailer.

    A thing or two...
Got my truck running again. :woot:

Last weekend, I cleaned the MAF and throttle body, but the Felpro throttle body gasket didn't fit so I had to wait until I could get a gasket from Toyota to finish. I got the gasket from Toyota on Wednesday, and, on Thursday, I replaced the spark plugs and coils and put everything back together. The battery had been unhooked since last Saturday when I started all this, and on Thursday evening when I had everything together, the truck wouldn't even crank. The dash lights worked and the power locks worked but very slowly. My guess was that the summer heat and the fact that the battery is nearly 4 years old had killed it. I even tried jumping the truck with my car, and it still wouldn't crank. :annoyed: I took the battery to Autozone on Friday afternoon to get tested, and their machine said that the battery was good and at 100% charge.

At that point I thought the starter might have crapped out, that I had blown a fuse in the starter circuit, or that the clutch start switch had gone out. :notsure: Yesterday, I checked the relevant fuses and made sure I had power from the battery to the starter on the main starter cable before I had to go meet up with friends for the evening, and I arranged for my buddy to come over this morning to help me troubleshoot the starter circuit. When my buddy got here this morning, we went over all the symptoms, and we decided to try jumping the truck again before we started troubleshooting. This time the truck cranked up and purred like a kitten. It even ran on its own off the alternator power. Since the truck fired up, we pulled the old battery and ran to Wally World, and I picked up a new 24F size battery. I think the last battery that the dealership sold me was a 35 size battery. I took the truck out for a test drive, and it's running better than ever. The exhaust is even quieter which is a big plus. :rockband:

Weird, I would have thought the same as well. Maybe there's a small battery in the headunit solely to keep the settings the same, because that wouldn't take much power.

Perhaps, because I tried again with the battery but fully disconnected this time, let it sit for an hour, and all of my radio channels were still set. I also pulled the fuse for the ECU.

Weird. On a related note, did that help your starting issue?
