The 6 screws here, are these what are holding in the cupholder piece and the awkward trapezoid piece right behind the shifter? I'm thinking about installing a switch panel on top of the trapezoid, but I'd need to remove that piece and drill through it to run the wires.

The 6 screws only hold the gunmetal trim piece to the main center console assembly

How would I go about getting just that cup holder/trapezoid piece out? And what part number is it? I'm looking at the links from page 1 but they're a bit confusing

Can't help you there, you will just have to take it apart and figure out which screws hold in the cup holder and coin tray. If you do attempt this make sure to take pictures and post a write up here, I'll link it to the first post.

By the looks of it, the part I circled in green is the the trapezoid piece I need to cut in to. It looks like this whole panel comes out based on the picture. :notsure: I'm trying to find the part number for that particular piece in the event I screw it up or want to change it down the line I can just replace it

    Hi @Broccoli ,

Do you have a similar diagram for removing the Headliner and pillar trim pieces? That would be awesome!
    Thanks.

I have a 2016 MGM Limited. I need to repainted the trim under the window switches, where the paint has rubbed off where my thigh and knee rub against it. Where do I get that "gunmetal" color spray ti match the rest of the trim?

@VangaSTL @fuegoador If I can take out the HVAC panel, taking the switch panel(below hvac) out should be easy?

No there's more too it, you have to take out the driver side kick panel as well as the glove box. I might have some documents somewhere that outlines it. Let me look

Yeah you pretty much have to take everything off all around it including:
    - Instrument cluster center finish panel
    - navigation assembly
    - driver side lower finish panel
    - HVAC control assembly
    - passenger side panel
    - glove compartment plate
    - passenger lower panel assembly
    - passenger garnish sub-assembly
    - console upper panel sub assembly
    - rear console box assembly
    - front console box assembly

Once you have all that out (basically everything around it) there is 1 bolt, 3 screws, and 7 clips holding in the Lower Center Finish Panel

If you attempt this, please take lots of pictures of each step and post it here. I have not seen a well documented process for removing this panel. I think only a few have done it.

Are you ordering the panel that is for the premium tech package that has the two extra spots for switches? If you are could you share the part number?
