My wife mentioned getting a push mower today cause she didn't want to weed whack the little bit of area that needs it. I asked her if we got a push mower, was she going to push it? Otherwise it'll sit unused taking up space in the shed. We have 1/2 acre, and I can get all but maybe 50' around some "features" she had to put in the yard. I hate weed whacking as it really kills my allergies.

 

Mine too, but I got tired of the fucked up weedeater I had. Bought a new one then got the zero turn the next month. If it can't be done with those two it needs to be gone.

 

Zero turn would be awesome, but this POS keeps chugging along. I have done zero maintenance on it in 7 years, still going. I actually need to do oil, filters, sharpen the blades, etc., since I don't want to buy another any time soon.

I bought one of those worx trimmers. I like it. One charge is enough to do what I need it to.

 

My wife won't let me get rid of ours, so I evicted it. It's been there for months, it's yours for free. They suck, but are good for the environment.

 

I'd have to work on my push mower about 6-8 times a summer.

 

My deal is if I'm riding I enjoy cutting grass. If it's 100 outside and I'm walking along and it takes an hour to finish then it's not fun and I'm cussing the whole time. I cut my yard in about 20 or so minutes now. If the blades were just sharpened then time goes down. I love that damn thing. I'll cut grass once a week now instead of scalp it every two weeks.

 

Put it in a flat rate box and I'll take it.

 

You have to cut the grass every 8 hours for it to work well, otherwise it's already too tall.

 

Little man. Work out that energy.

 

My weed eater plugs in, I have a super long extension cord. It's lightweight, quiet and works really well. Next one I'll buy one with a battery pack.

 

I could weigh it, would probably cost as much to mail it as a new one costs.

 

I've got a hedge trimmer that plugs in. I've managed to cut every extension cord I used with it. Last one was a 100ft 12ga $72 cord. The shrubs are coming out soon. Fuck that thing. Then I'll have all rock garden.

 

My friend with the tree company is switching to Stihl battery chainsaws. He's having too much trouble with the gas ones. I've used one, they are awesome.
