I hear ya Noel. I spend most of the day clearing out the back yard for the fence install.

I love my pressure washer. Every spring, I clean off all of the kids toys that live in the back yard and the outdoor furniture. It doesn't take long and it does an awesome job. I just bought a snow foamer for it also, primarily for the camper but I can't wait to use it on the truck.

Also spent some time down in the 'driveway' I put in to my wood yard, clearing out some rocks that were too big for the little Kubota to handle, including this one that ended up being a lot larger than I thought it was when I started. (Those of you on snapchat, sorry for the repeat)

This one didn't even bother to budge when I'd hooked onto it with the Kubota a couple of weekends ago so I figured I'd give it a shot with the Yeti.
And yes, I know, 'don't ever put a strap around a tow ball' but that one's a 2 5/16 ball that's rated for 20,000lbs, so it's considerably stronger than any of the D-rings that I had on hand

Turns out it was in there a lot deeper than I thought, so once I got it started I had to crib it to keep it from rolling back down into the hole after a pull.

My kingdom for a locking diff  I had plenty of torque, but not enough traction.

Finally got it rolled up and out high enough that I could get a good purchase with the strap and it slid right out!

Once I got the tires onto some fresh earth she slid along pretty easy (in low gear & low range), but the soil around here has enough clay in it that once you spin it glazes up and offers almost zero grip.

I couldn't believe how fast it blitzed through the back deck; I'd have been done in 30 minutes if it hadn't been for the railing. Cleaning the balusters took absolutely forever because you've got to spray each side individually. The front deck is next on the list; it's PT instead of that vinyl crap, but it's due for another coat of Thompson's and I'd rather have it be clean before I reseal it.

Wow... looks like the back is sitting pretty squarely on the bump stops. What was in the trailer to make it so heavy? Looks like more than I'd want to tow with a Tacoma without having brakes on the trailer.

I think that he should go with straight concertina wire.

Yeah, I'm going with black coated chain link. I priced it up at a big box store over the weekend and just sent it out to a supplier for a quote about 5 minutes ago. I did all the clearing for the fence last weekend and will hopefully install the fence the weekend of August 5. I'll let you know how it goes.
It would certainly deter the kids and dog from escaping...

I'm trying to get another speed limit changed. It's very slow for the road and on average traffic travels well above the posted speed limit as a result. It looks like the town PD takes advantage and just constantly pulls people over there.

Found out the speed study is 45 years old and the road was completely rebuilt since. MassDOT says yes, if a speed study was done on it now the limit would almost definitely go up, and it should have been done when the road was rebuilt in the first place. But, they won't do it without the town asking because they've wasted resources on others before only to have the towns refuse to sign off on the new limits. So, I'm trying to get the town to ask.

You've been able to get a speed limit changed in the past? I can see that being a hard sell to a town!

I was able to get the city I was in before to change every speed limit sign around every school to read "While children are present." Previously, they were enforcing the 20 MPH 24/7/365. The city was actually pretty good about it. The PD was nasty and definitely didn't want the change.

The other thing people don't understand is slower speed limits do not mean people drive slower. According to MassDOT, arbitrarily lowering the speed limit on a road reduces the average speed by 2 MPH at the most.

    You misspelled 'asshole'

Just kidding. I have full confidence in the Spencer's ability to maintain a relationship, even if he was dubious about popping the question, tying the knot, and all that nonsense. I was just being facetious. :notsure:

Cupcake's Rav-4 did the same, caliper went in a little less than 2 yrs. Good to know if I ever need to replace them.
