Has anyone had any experience with a camper shell that has a thick gasket in the front in lieu of a window? I found a high rise ARE for a DCSB which I've found to be rare. However, there's no front window, it just has a thick gasket that surrounds the truck window. I like the idea, so you can access the bed through the truck window. (Good for checking on dogs)

    Thoughts??

Just keep throwin' money at it.
I've seen them wear the paint down on the back of the cab since the cab and bed flex independently. When you get grit in there it acts like sand paper.

I had one on a Snugtop on my old 1st gen. The installer put a ring of some type of tape on the paint. No leaks and paint was perfect when I sold the topper and removed the tape. I was able to acess through the rear slider with no issues.

Do you recall the name of the tape, I know I will need some.

I don't sorry. It was 15 years ago and I really didn't pay much attention. Inattentive 25 year old version of myself!
