Has anyone had the dealer fix/replace that clear film that protects the corner of the doors? Had my windshield replaced and now mysteriously there is a gouge in the film, which they claim they didn't do. Trying to get a cost estimate.

Just get it removed. The films look like shit over time and the longer it sits the hard it is to remove.

Any idea what that would cost?

Zero if you have a heat gun. If you don't then the cost of a heat gun lol. Just use caution when taking off the adhesive, don't use harsh chemicls or abrasive brushes. You don't want to scratch your paint getting it off.

If you don't want to remove it yourself go to a tint shop that installs clear bra film. They should quote you removal. I doubt it's that pricey. I'm going to remove all my film here soon. Not sure why Toyota insists on putting that crap on.

Maybe I'm oblivious, but where exactly is this film? I haven't seen any on the door of my '16.

Are you talking about the door edge guards ? Most tint shop or accessory shops install them

At least it sounds like they did their job.
