    Any idea what might cause my gears to "click" when shifting? I probably need a transmission flush/fill anyway, approaching 50k miles shortly. The sound is only gear to gear, happens when going into the next gear upon engagement. Doesn't shift hard or make any other noises at any time.

    I don't grind my gears, often, and I shift with either too much clutch or just the right amount :)

    It's something I've dealt with since owning the truck, just never asked about it.

    In the pedal or the shifter? If it's in the pedal, it's the pedal spring and is normal. If it's in the shifter, it's the trans shifter gates and is normal. Switching over to Amsoil
    $29 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)
    75w-90 helped it be less notchy but it's just not the smoothest trans

    The pedal squeaks like a mother! Love how the TSB is to just lube the assembly HAHA!

    It's in the shifter, when I go into the next gear. Doesn't do it in first, though. If you think it's normal, scary as this sounds, I trust you :thumbsup:
    I'm gonna grab some Redline MT-90.

    Coming from a '99 Prelude, a '99 Saturn SC-2, and a '97 S-10, all with MT, this trans is definitely different!

    From my merdercycle daze, I keep a can of "o-ring chain lube" on hand. It's great for places where you need a lube that stays where you put it......ie won't drip on carpet. It goes on "wet" and becomes less runny after it leaves the can. Any bike/atv shop should carry it

    Yeah that is scary. :eek: and it's normal. It's clunky, almost like you're pushing the shifter through a gate instead of an open hole. My 2nd grinds bad now from power shifting so much while wheeling. Also didn't help I filled it up with water while stuck in the lake at LBL then drove the rest of the weekend, 180 miles home and off and on through the next 3 months before finally deciding to change the oil where when removing the fill plug, watery oil poured out all over me. Haha.

    Hey! Guy! Calm down! You're gonna push away more people then you attract. No one wants to follow a spastic blow hard. Id say 10 trucks is pretty good for a meet at a park that no one has ever been to, has been organized by a guy no one is familiar with and is held in the middle of the summer in the south which no one wants to wheel/camp in (exaggerated of course). If you create a thread for a meet, you gotta be willing to show up even if it's just you and your pup. Otherwise, just mention it in an already established state thread or similar and feel it out.

    The right ingredients have to go into creating an event like the current March LBL trips. We had like 15 trucks show up to the first one. Some of that was us, some was just right place right time kinda thing. Once again, you're starting from scratch on multiple levels. You would have a much easier time if it were being held at somewhere like Harlan just simply because Harlan is an established, well known place that people go to and will go back to whether other people are meeting or not. Hell just show up there and find random people to wheel with and call it a meet. Boom! Successful meet! Haha my point being, if you're gonna make a meet thread, make it while thinking "this is what I'm gonna do, I hope other people will join me" and roll with whatever happens from there. Correct me if I'm wrong but you haven't even been to this park so you may not even want to go. Haha
