I'm new to the area, and looking at adding the bilsteins and coilovers to my 2017 limited along with new wheels and tires. Anyone know of any good, knowledgeable shops in the area that will do the work right?

I can tell you I haven't had the best of help at Buck 4x4 in Boise and the guy I talked to on the phone at 4 Wheel Parts here only knew as much as what the parts catalog would tell him.

Did you accomplish this yet? If you're some what handy I'd recommend just grabbing a case of beer and doing them yourself. It's a pretty easy job, you'll just have to run it somewhere like Les Schwab after for an alignment.

The suspension stuff is pretty easy to do if you have a free weekend and a decent set of tools. I think my 5100's took about 2.5 hours to do all 4 corners.

That said, I've still been looking for a shop up here. I need someone to weld on my cab mount chop plates, and some other odds and ends jobs I don't want to tackle on the ground.

Well not going to help you right now. But early 2018 we will be opening up shop in Baker City Oregon. Not too far from Boise.

What type of shop, specifically? Still looking for someone competent that can weld out here

Overland Outfitter: Retail, install, fab. Welding yes but we will be limited to light duty fab, welding on brackets, racks, sliders. We just don't want to turn into a full custome chassis builder or anything.

Awesome, just looked it up and you would be about a 2 hour drive. Willing to do some cab mount chop plates? Pretty light duty fab I would guess.

Cab mount chops would be included if that is what you are looking for.

Yes sir. We will have more info on a solid opening date soon. Working on securing the building right now and getting it ready for a move in over the winter.

Very cool, well keep us posted on the grand (or soft) opening. There is a serious lack of reputable shops here, I imagine there would be a pretty good turnout from the Boise area alone.

We sure will, looking forward to it. It is a great area: not going to miss much of this Seattle traffic

Did you get the shop opened up in Baker City?
