    So like many a fine Tacomaworld member, I decided to cheap out on my carrier bearing, and install a doorman bearning from rockauto... :( long story short, squeaking afer a few hundred, should have just spent the money up front. Some things OEM work better, some not. This is one that should just have been OEM. So a few questions about part numbers. I find
    $200 37230-0K030 Toyota Center Support Bearing - 37230-0K030
    37230-0K030 which I believe should be for the 4x4 and 37230-0K40 which I believe is for the 2wd?? I think?? Both are on Amazon for about the lowest price I can find anywhere else, plus I have prime!! So just a questions for those with more knowledge than I, whats the difference?     I'm subbed in here as I want to confirm for myself. Plenty of people will know this (not myself unfortunately), but you just might be out of luck with tonight's night owl crowd. I would recommend approximately a 10am bump for the best chance.

    Yeah!!! Kind of figured! Such is life on the night shift!! Will give it a bump in the AM before I got to bed!! I went ahead and ordered both on Amazon, will take some pics and measurements when then get here and report back!! Can return for free!!!

    Yes, same as what you have above. I have no idea what the difference is between the two. The driveshaft part #s also differ; I suspect the bearing size might be different.

    That's what I'm thinking. Have heard some reports of people using either, but will report when I get ahold of them both!

    Several reviews on Amazon for the "30" are 4x4 tacoma owners who self installed. The q&a section for the "40" has two 2wd customers.
