    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
I use Optimum No-Rinse to clean the vehicle every two weeks. I also use the Optimum Spray Wax after. It takes about ten minutes to spray wax the whole vehicle. The spray wax also has UV, UVB protection.

If you go the line-X route please share pictures. Thinking of having mine done just because I'm lazy and hate polishing and sealing the roof twice a year lol

Just vinyl wrap it. Should be cheap and pretty easy to do.

My 06 bought new in Tampa has been outside the whole time and the white paint looks shiny and new.
Washing the truck regularly is a must besides waxing. After each wash I put a coat of wax on just the roof and hood. Only takes a few minutes.
Truck gets a complete clay/polish/wax every two-three months with Collinite 845.
    A price of living here.
Sorry but you have neglected your paint.

I'm assuming you are attempting to polish by hand? By machine 4-6 times a year is likely going to leave you without paint in a few years.

I think the paint and clear coat should be a little more durable than what it is. But, it is also a ten year old vehicle that never sees covered parking.

I wax my hood and roof for this specific reason. I wash my truck maybe once a month, or once every other month. A little bit of wax or sealer goes a long way in protecting your paint. But it is a truck, just vinyl wrap the hood and roof and call it good
