Just completed my annual office cleaning. Three 55-gallon garbage bags full of crap, found 2 items I've spent hours searching for, and I now recall this wasn't such a small office to begin with.

Not sure why anyone got a handheld. Have yet to see any of you with one, outside your truck talking on it.

The Cobra UDLX series that are so popular cannot be "hot rodded" either. If there's a correlation between cost and ability to jack up a radio, you need to look at brands/models in the $140/$150 range as a starting point.

The guy who owns the CB shop where I do business has a Galaxy high end radio he's trying to sell me. He's got it wanged up to 80 watts. (Asking $200 for a used radio) If I wasn't in the middle of buying armor and winch, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

From what I can read on various radio techy sites, once you reach 25 or 30 watts, there isn't much noticeable to gain until you start bumping 175 to 200 watts. Just clearer signal at same distance....Having about 25% hearing, I'm all for clearer reception though...

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
So when I was making my drive from KY to CA I drove through New Mexico, Arizona and Cali all in the same day and apparently it was so hot that my tread on my brand new tires started melting off the side walls

    Dope
So now I have to buy new tires before I can drive home in a few weeks
