"New" former member...picked up 2015 TRD Pro

Main issue I've seen people having with the 2nd gen Tacoma superchargers is the tune...seems like a lot of people don't like the Bullydog tuner that comes with the Magnuson kits, the TRD flash (if you can find a dealer that will do it) or the new URD unit seem to be the most popular.

They don't seem to have the lean issues that us first gen guys have with the superchargers (on a stock setup anyway)...the 7th injector was a godsend for my 3.4l.

 

Its too bad Im late to the party because I'd like to have a TRD stamped S/C just for aesthetics even though its the same as the Magnusson. Going to be hard to find one if any at a decent price now.

 

You could always just slap a TRD emblem on there lol

The ability to get forced induction was a huge factor for me in my decision to pick the 2nd Gen over a 3rd Gen. Seems like that Atkinson engine will be really restricted on adding any mods until someone figures out the valve timing. It seems like you are stuck with what you have in that motor for the foreseeable future.

 

Magnuson has been vaguely alluding to the fact that they are working on one but who knows if and when that will happen
