I'm telling you bro if you really want to swap out for an F150 and come up on $10K you need to look for a private party one with slightly over 100k miles and a lot of recent maintenance. A lot of people hit that 100k mark and sink a bunch of $ into the truck then get rid of it because they think "man I just keep dumping money into this thing" but in reality they just prepped it for another 50k+ miles of relatively trouble free use. You should also be able to score one for $15k if its in the 100-120k range.

I almost never look at cars with 90k miles because that's usually when people who don't want to do major maintenance dump them.

I know this thread is already aging but here's the first thing I noticed. You already know that your making a mistake, which is already a red flag. Now your just asking how substantial that mistake will be. Your obviously having second thoughts. Best case scenario, keep the Tacoma until your 100% sure you want to trade for it. The Tacoma will hold it's value while you decide.

I came out of a f-150 with the 5.0 (before that a 2nd gen Tacoma). I had my motor replaced after 3 weeks of owning it. Many of the 5.0s have bad blocks with oblong cylinders bores that create a bad knock at idle(Tons of threads on it in the ford forums). Ive been really happy with my 3rd gem, I'm glad I've went back to a small simple truck.

It's classy, and the turn signals are so subtle you don't even know they're there.

Clicked for the Pontiac Aztec thumbnail preview.

TFL actually did an off-road test on one of those in one of their recent videos.
