My only real regret with my taco is not buying quicksand. Not that Barcelona Red is bad, its #2 imo. But keeping it looking nice in the summer months is horrible. Looks great with mud/snow on it, horrible with dust. Buy quicksand.

EDIT: not a real regret, just annoys me in the summer.

QS or Black of the colors you're entertaining.
I too am in a similar boat deciding on colors. Black, QS or White....or Cement :boink:

It supposedly will be a color option for 2018:stirthepot:
Not sure how soon you're looking to purchase though. I'm now wishing I hadn't sold my old truck already. Need a vehicle sooner than December when the 2018 Tacomas hit lots. Who knows, I may end up going with a Cement Tundra in September instead :anonymous:

I know not a Tacoma, but quicksand gets my vote. Hasn't been washed in a month.

OP, thinking about your question- it has been asked before by other members.

Not to be harsh, but it occurred to me if you have to ask an internet forum what color to get, better take the safe road.

SSM is imo a beautiful color of all the choices. Whenever I see one nice and clean, it looks really good.

Quicksand is the type of color that you either "get" or don't.
Don't get it because others tell you it is a great color (which it is), but only if you think so.

Lucky for me, I needed a truck fast and the dealer only had one Tacoma on the lot- it checked off all of my requirements, and to me the color was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. My wife did not like it at all, and after making the deal, the salesman told me the truck had been on the lot for months because people didn't like the (quicksand) color- did not matter to me, and I really like it still.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

Since so many people are telling you to get quicksand, I felt the need to chime in against it. Before my Tacoma I had a beige 4Runner and before that I had a beige Accord. Both cars were bought used and were deals so good that I couldn't complain about the color. I'm the type of person who likes to keep a clean vehicle, and it just felt like my efforts were always wasted detailing those cars. Beige is the definition of bland in my book.

I will concede one thing, and that is a quicksand taco, tinted, with all black wheels accessories, badging, etc with some A/T tires looks kinda badass....but not enough for me to want to buy it.

that is so true. i have some pinstripes on mine, can't even tell.

and yes, it definitely needs black accents to make it look its best.. I was on the fence about QS until about a week before purchase. now I am so happy I went with is because of how unique it is, hides the dirt and scratches, and looks perfect w/ black accents.

I voted silver among those three colors.
Silver is low maintenance and easy to keep clean and is color that is never going to go out of style.

Black is probably the most underrated color for the Tacoma but it is a high maintenance color. If you are going to off road your rig or your truck will not be parked in a garage stay away from this color.
Quicksand: although I don't like this color in pictures it actually looks good in person but only in the off road trim with the matte black fender flares, black wheels, and the TRD pro grille.
    Silver is a universal/versatile color.

Quicksand for the win! Just do it, Ive never seen so many people ask "what color is your truck" or "Ive never seen that color truck before" or "It looks like the Humvee color"
It looks waay better in person.

    Like, so many.
I love my MGM. I think both QS and SSM really go best with the black accents on the OR.
