    Hey guys-
Want to paint my grille black, but am not fully convinced on dipping it. I'm about to take a 3-4 month cross country road trip, and I just do not want to have to deal with pulling that shit off of a grated grille if I need to. Have any of you guys used anything different? Rustoleum has a number of selections that seem durable enough, but there are plenty of ways to skin this cat. Please and thanks

Have you seen a painted grill once it starts to chip and/or flake?
    To me....
Plastidip is way easier to "fix" once damaged.

I dipped my emblems and undercarriage this weekend with rustoleums flexi dip it takes only 5 minutes in between coats and it goes on much smoother than plasti dip. after I put 7-8 coats and it cured it feels very substantial to touch, plus it dries so evenly all you have to do is keep a can around to touch it up if you have any bare spots.

I also found that you can take a high gloss rustoleum spray paint enamel and put it on over the dip making the outter shell harder but still peelable.

Glossifier or topcoat makes the plastidip tougher too..

Plasti dipped the badges. Ran out and Home Depot only had rustoleum to finish my wheels and scoop. Guess I will find out which holds up better.

Can I just re spray plasti dip over the existing? Its coming off on the edges and the emblems.
