I was thinking I could charge a higher price for riding in an LT "race truck" or something like that lol. But meh, would rather sit at home and drink.

 

Yeah I also heard they recently cut prices and we're really screwing over driver's. Had a buddy that was doing it in his commuter, said a good $300-400 in a weekend driving about 4-6 hours in the evenings (profit over gas money), but now he can barely make $200

 

Yeah you can't name your own prices but there is a new app where you can rent out your own car and charge whatever the hell you want. I wish I remembered what it was called.

 

I live in the suburbs not close enough to a busy city. My coworker uses his Prius in the Boston area but was saying that he doesn't know his destination until he accepts the ride. Could be 5 minutes, could be 3 hours.

I have a few feelers out there and have to seriously sit down with the wife to see if it makes sense for her to stay at work full time when her take-home would be solely dedicated to childcare.

 

I do remember seeing something like that. However, I barely even let the wife drive my truck lol, wouldn't want some asshat burning out my race clutch and then I get shafted by the rental company lol

 

We did the same thing. I told her I crunched the numbers, she could be a stay at home Mom if she wanted, but we would be pretty broke for the most part until some more bills were payed off (but still able to pay bills and groceries and such, just not very much extra money). She ended up getting her boss to agree to let her work from home. It's a bit rough now with a newborn, she's basically living at her parents house about half an hour from home while I work and the days I'm off she comes home and I take care of the kiddos while she works. So the little paycheck she does get pays her bills and was contributing towards day care up until our babysitter up and quit her job to go join the Air Force (ew why) lol.

Her mother is so close to retirement that she's counting the days, albeit 2 years. That'd be a huge help only being 10 min up the road. We just have to figure out something til then. At our current daycare, 2 would be just over $600/week. I just submitted reclassification paperwork which will certainly help but a 4-6 hour part time gig after work in the mornings would be ideal. Not quite sure how to handle if I get held over.

I actually have a coworker that says he makes 4 to 600 in 6 hours going back and forth from Uber and Lyft. Once a month we get a seven day break. He stays busy...

 

Of course you'll get something big at 5-530 when you know you're going into vacation... slow here too

 

Location, location, location... we don't even have local watering holes that people need a ride home from.

Same shit different day over here. People not doing what they're supposed to, getting arrested on our warrants and getting released right back out to do it all over again the next night...

 

Flipping sleep tonight. Took the night off. Had some stuff to do. Now beer and Netflix.
