@Aw9d I'm going to pull my subs from their box as know it is not sealed well. Can I use any RTV inside the box to seal it, or is there a specific one I should use.

You can go at this two ways.

    1. Fiberglass the inside of the box. Fixes all the seal issues. :)

    2. You can use RTV or any silicon around all the edges. There shouldn't be any real need to seal the subs. Just make sure they are super tight. You can use some t-nuts so you can crank down the subs. I like to use wood insert lock nuts as well but those might be overkill for smaller subs. T-Nuts should work perfect. I'd highly suggest some type of T-Nut or Lock Nut on all subwoofer installs.

Fiberglass is more than I have time/patience for. I meant the sub box for sealing. The subs were installed to the box using 1.25 wood screws, and every one of them was loose or stripped! I've pulled them both out, now I'll pack the seams inside the box with RTV and I'll get some t nuts! Thanks.

I was referring to fiberglassing the inside of your sub box to seal it. Not making one out of fiberglass.

But yes, get the T-nuts and some bolts. Don't use the wood screws and that will solve a lot of issues.

Ohhh Johnny boy. I have been awake since 6:30 pm last night and 4 beers in right now. I had the sharpie in hand about to sharpie two T's on my sack but the possibility of a ban kept me from completing my vision for a good laugh.

I got all excited for a second but then I realized a quasi-cripple with 2 business degrees probably isn't the best fit.:D

    I'll ask my roommate though!

In other news I got off my lazy ass and stuck some stickers!

(I still need to get some TW-bro assistance on the total chaos bed brace install though!)
