    so I did find, what, at least by the description, appears to be just a turbo manifold for the 2tr (shown in mild but available in 304 ss by description) and it says ships within 20 days (assumed to come by boat and means that it will ship from the supplier within 20 days of purchase and then be another 2-3 weeks on a boat; just based on previous experience with asain warehousy type stuff) [edited: it says delivery but I am still skeptical] however, there is no price to speak of mentioned short of contacting the company it seems but it looks ok

    Haha. Too bad it doesn't say what the turbo flange is. It looks like the manifold that comes with the ozboost kit, so it maybe the same.

    yeah its a pretty decent lookin manifold and if you can get it in SS I bet it would look really good since they would prolly polish down the welds, but I went to way stars actual website and its pretty jank. I realize they are from china and most likely just copy past everything into google translate, but they literally have a listing that is "Toyota exhaust manifold-2" obviously I can look at it and see its a turbo mani for a 4 cyl but that's it. the only ones for Toyota that are specified models are for 1 and 2jz's I think and I didn't even find this manifold on their website

    I just put in a request for 10 manifold/downpipe combinations. If there is enough interest I will duplicate my entire turbokit setup using genuine parts. Just waiting to hear back from them.

    I could possibly duplicate my entire turbocharger setup with some improvements made, but even at that with using quality parts it would be in the $4500-5000 range and an extra $800 or so for an ECU with a basemap already loaded (with wiring diagram). I am not so sure there is a market for something like that.

    That really puts things into perspective when people think that a $1,700 kit would actually work, when its literally a box full of shit from ozboost.

    The URD supercharger kit is $5k with the map-ECU3 and a base map, so I don't think $5-7k for a turbo kit with map-ECU3 or similar and a base map would be too far our of line. The option of different turbo flanges on the manifold would be nice for setup customization (T3/T28/etc).

    I think you're right with the demand not being huge, but I bet there is at least some. I wouldn't be surprised if URD doesn't sell more than 1-2 2tr-fe supercharger kits per year.

    yes I could see a market at that price, when I first read it I interpreted it to be your cost; but I mean how much of price difference is/was the I4 and v6 on similarly equipped trucks? plus you would be putting down similar power that a stock SC v6 makes, and a big plus is the 3rd gen 2.7's are the same motor so there are a plethora of potential buyers now and that will continue to grow as long as they keep using the 2tr

    I think the 3rd gen added dual but to the 4 cylinder and upped the compression, so I don't think they would handle as much boost as the 2nd gen. It would still be an improvement though.

    If I do a kit it would be a vband inlet and outlet turbine housing with external wastegate (routed back to downpipe) to keep things simple. Makes it easier to install and also to maintain.

    To make it worth while, I would need to make at least 5 kits to start off. Otherwise, I think I could offer the same turbo manifold, downpipe, Genuine garrett GTX2867R turbo, tial internal wastegate, Oil inlet and outlet lines/flanges/fittings, and coolant lines with the appropriate fittings for a reasonable rate (estimate 2800-3100). One could just take the rest to a local fabricator and have the intercooler pipes made, etc.

    It will be kind of hard (but still doable) to offer a 100% full bolt-on kit since there are a few things I had to do custom on my truck to make it all work together. This whole thing kind of started off as a joke at first, but now I really love driving the truck that much more than if I wouldve gone with a rubber band turbo (supercharger)
