I keep hoping that in the next year or 2 that Toyota is going to add that A Pillar Handle back again so we will have a source.

There was an Airbag in the 2nd Gen and the handle was there, and there is a handle on the passenger side along with an airbag, it is Kaizen that forces this cost cutting shit.

You're probably right, but continuous improvement *MIGHT* mean that based on data from 2nd gen, they found a statistically significant (safety/airbag?) problem. Just a thought....still want one.

Don't see the safety problem. One can assume they expect you to grab the wheel and pull yourself in. :D

Why keep it on the passenger side if statistics say its a problem? No doubt in my mind that it is a cost cutting thing, they did the same thing on the 1st Gens by eliminating it for a couple years and bringing it back.

I don't see how it impedes vision, its not some giant handle sticking out in your field of vision.

From what I've seen on YouTube videos, the bolt threads for the grab handle are still there.

They have taken it out of more then just the Tacoma. Lawyers might have something to do with it. If it impeding vision, someone will try and sue.

It's hard to tell if a Ram driver has brain damage after a accident.
