3rd Gen White Tacomas - Post them up!

happy you posted this as I'm looking to do the exact same. Im going to be getting the Heavy duty dakars as ill have a rear bumper, tent, topper and camping gear back there soon. do you notice the rear shocks topping out, or being too short of travel? i know on the bp51s that the rear shocks are the limiting factor. I'm afraid the heavy duty packs will pretty much max my shock stroke length

also, you're in denver. mind me asking how much you paid for the truck? and which dealer?

 

So far I really like the lift. I have only driven it for a day so I can't really speak to anything topping out.

It's an offroad without any tech package (doing the stereo more better than JBL shit) but it did have the tow package since Mountain States doesn't order anything lower than that. It's an auto and it was 34,300 + tax/tags. I think sticker was like 37,500 or so. I'll try to snap some more pics shortly here.

 

I have the same lift on order...any pros or cons yet???

Seems like a very good quality lift. Don't anticipate any issues with quality.
The ride is OK...It's a little harsh. Wish it dampened a bit better on bumps...I think it might with the coilover kit which I didn't get. But...I parked mine next to a similar SR5 with the 6" pro comp lift with coilovers and it sat about 1-2" higher than mine. I wouldn't want my truck any higher. I mentioned to another guy on the site that I believe this lift gives about 5" of true height. My front wheel fender sits at 42" off the ground. Not crazy high...which still allows me to do decent offroading with the truck. Overall...great lift and great quality. I think you'll love it.

 

Looks as if you took off all the emblems, or did it come like that?

 

It came like that, they had taken them off previously to me buying it. They had actually put a leveling kit on it and some big ugly black wheels, but I wasn't a fan of it so i bought the truck without that stuff on it.

 

Part of a provisional FORSCOM unit, but will hopefully be switching to an INSCOM unit here on post next summer when we get shut down.

Already posted this in the what have you done to your 3rd gen today thread, but figured I'd give the super white thread some love. Recently painted the head lights and installed Winjet smoked tail lights
