My new sensor shipped today. I provided the part number so hopefully they send the correct part.

Let me rephrase.... I have what I believe may be a symptom of a bad sensor. It is a stumble/fluttering at 1750rpm on moderate acceleration and engine load. It feels like a misfire, but techstream shows none. What it does show is stable timing until it happens and then timing changes wildly until I give it more gas or the rpm/vehicle speed increase.

It took me 10 minutes to change mine without even taking the tire off or jacking it up..but I felt no difference with the new one.

Just ordered another new one(98). I had 89 showing up tomorrow as this recall came up on Monday and I ordered 89 last week. Looks like i'll be returning 89 and getting my money back as I'm not on the vin recall either.

If one has stuttering at speed and not on recall list, will they still replace it under warranty

It is possible but probably more of a headache than anything. I'm doing mine myself. Plus it's only about $100 depending where you buy it

Posted these over in another thread, but since folks in here are thinking about the CKP sensor specifically I wanted to share a day over day comparison on this. Mon-Wed my truck has driven "easy" but this morning it felt a bit more bogged and the steering was heavier. Temps were about the same, same drive, kept A/C on about 50% both mornings on same temp.

Yesterday (easy steering, no bog, 18.5mpg):

Today (heavier steering, bit more bogged feeling, 20mpg): Notice increased variability in timing...

    Have at it @lapoltba :)

To be clear, my truck still runs infinitely better than it did prior to replacing the CKP but I can tell variability in drivability resurfacing slowly so interested whether it's due to replacing the CKP with another of the same design that's slowly succumbing to the same issues or whether it's just the ECU doing it's mad thing. Once I get the new CKP "98" we'll see...

Thanks! I have a "98" sensor on order. I'll look at your data and compare with mine a little later. I do not know what sensor is in my truck right now.

Has anyone actually confirmed they are part of the recall? Everyone says they aren't even with build dates in range (me included) my guess is this is so new and still being finalized and rolled out, that they haven't updated the system to notify those who are included.
Of course maybe it is just a very small recall also.
My truck build date is in the range (3/16), but I haven't had any issues either.

I will, yup. Just waiting on it to cool down. Should be able to yank it after lunch.
