Another part of that, is what you're using to listen. On a phone, it sounds like crap. Headphones, or some bass, helps to hear the tone of the exhaust. I found that out with my vids I took of mine. Can't even hear it.. But yeah you do lose a lot. I got to hear a straight pipe yota in person recently and it actually didn't sound too bad. Much better than what I've heard on vids. Still wouldn't run straight myself tho. Ha.

And I have my lgv10. Not sure what it has compared to the 20, but seems to be better for recording. And the camera is awesome.. Thinking about upgrading to the 20. Love this phone. Only thing I wish it had was dual speakers like the HTC one max I had b4. Plus the battery life is starting to diminish a bit on mine.

I've got a few videos up with a Aero 3030xl. Here is the first start up. I've been thinking of maybe swapping in a Black Widow and seeing how that sounds.

4 cylinder. Sounds good in the cab with the windows up, but sounds like a fartbox outside. That muffler is coming off as soo as I find a replacement.

I did a muffler only system last month using a Black widow venom 250 muffler. http://www.blackwidowexhaust.com/mu...nter-SKU-BW001-C/p/35648298/category=15730041 They are worth looking into.

I previously had a flowmaster series 50 muffler 1in/2out running split exhaust that came out of the back of the truck. I loved that system and the sound, but it rusted and I needed to make another exhaust system. I got my exhaust built in Dec. using a Black widow 2.5" Venom 250 muffler and I already have a aFe Stage-2 Si Pro 5R Cold Air Intake System installed. With the previous aftermarket exhaust that i had I noticed that after 3k rpm you would loose the sound of the muffler because the intake sound would take over. After having the new exhaust for about a month now, the biggest thing that I noticed is a pretty consistent power band and also engine sound. There is no drop of one sound for another. As the RPMs get higher the whole engine system sounds strong and happy.

I really like the sound of the Venom 250 on my truck. The initial firing up sound is aggressive and loud enough but doesn't scare small children. It was 11F this morning while starting the truck in the video. With that said, your neighbors will definitely know when you have started your truck because the deeper exhaust note travels inside the house easily. Just under normal idle while sitting at a light or in a drive through you wont notice it to much, but once you get on the throttle you and everyone around you will hear it. Getting onto the highway or passing anyone puts a smile on my face each and every time.

The biggest thing that I noticed with this muffler compared to the last system that was on my truck is how much "quieter" the Black widow muffler sounds inside the cab compared to outside the truck, It doesn't sound annoying or overly loud like other exhaust often can. It has some hum at 1500 rpm, so going 35 down the road you might have a little hum but not annoying drone. Even my other exhaust system had the same mild drone at 2k RPM, not matter what system you build around this motor always has a constant note around that RPM range. At 2k RPM while doing 70mph on the highway the exhaust is comfortably quiet and easy to drive, but once you bring the motor up to 3200 RPM she stops sounding like a Tacoma and easily lets people know you are passing them. The company Black widow is worth looking into to for sure.

A couple days back I had a great local shop install a Flowmaster Super44 and a tip.

I've really enjoyed the new sound. It's aggressive and gives it the deeper growl I was looking for. No resemblance to the "pissed off bumblebee" sound I was worried it may have.

    I'm very pleased.

My iPhone thus far hasn't been the greatest in capturing the sound, but I guess you can get an idea.

Here's a video from this morning. Getting onto the interstate. Windows up. XM radio on the news at volume level of 14.

The entrance road is roughly surfaced. Running the factory Destination LE tires for the time being.

Accelerated down the ramp hitting 72mph and engaged the cruise control. AT transmission on this model gets "shifty" when the cruise control is in use and rolling hills are encountered.

Been a few weeks now.....and I"m loving this Flowmaster enhancement to my truck.

Was grilling out the other day....wife rolled up in driveway.....had the music blasting, suds poured in a glass and talking to a buddy on the phone making fun plans for the week.

She'd had a hard day at work.....and I believe a bit jealous over my total enjoyment being had on my first afternoon after crushing my own workweek. Can't help it if other folks don't know how to chill & grill and relax. Their problem.....don't be trying to make it mine. Work hard, play hard and enjoy life is my motto.

Asked her to hold my phone and catch me fire it up and hit a rev or two. Her muttered comments at the end of the video said it all about her pissy mood that day, lol. All turned out well, though.....she loved what I'd cooked for dinner and finally got over her tense day.

Just washed her......then had to goof around some.

Crank....idle until smooth then a few revs.

Same mods here I deleted the vibrant resonator and added a magnaflow muffler
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMo...CRFLulNVxJVhsxw1SQ4FwqX1uw3CYVMtwWaaStucOYT0o

I also added a bottle style vibrant resonator with the 2 magnaflows at a time. Nothing seemed to work. But I don’t have a video of the 2 mufflers and the resonator since I took it right away.

Same mod list than the previous post I only swapped the afe muffler for a borla muffler.

On my first post with the magnaflow mufflers I had rasp. With the afe I did not or I did not hear it because it was too loud. Just showing to give you guys an idea of different combinations of mufflers and or resonators.

The magnaflows were very quiet and I liked that but I had rasp between 3k and 4k rpms. And the afe was way too loud. Now the volume with the borla muffler is in between the magnaflows and the afe muffler. I considerate the sound moderate not too quiet not too loud, perfect balance for me. Very little drone inside maybe due because I am running without cats not because of the muffler. And also worth noting that with the borla muffler it eliminated the rasp I had before.

    Here are some videos
