I've read that a lot of Taco Techies are anti mud flap but I want to put some flaps on my 2004 Taco 4 door. Problem is I have fender flares and there are only 2 screw holes that I can see where to attach mud flaps. I got these RoadSport 6416 Pro Fit Truck/SUV/Van Splash Guard that I bought from Amazon. Evan though they said they would fit my truck upload_2017-7-27_16-12-36.jpg
the holes are nowhere near where you would attach these. I have no problem drilling some holes but would rather not if I don't have to. Did I buy the wrong ones or are there flaps that fit my Taco with fender flares?

hold the mud flap up in the fender well and take a picture so we can see what were are dealing with? Then we can help. I have had mudflaps attached right to the fender flare with 5 screws.

Amazon isn't exactly an auto parts dealer, so I wouldn't expect them to get what fits your vehicle right every time. This is hardly the first thread I've seen where someone gets hosed buying auto parts from amazon...

I would just hit up a pick n pull/wrecking yard type place.

Whatever you do, make sure you have a metal brace (a la oem) to prevent it from getting sucked up into the tire when backing up.

I ran into the same problem with my 2003 tacoma with factory fender flares. they appear not to be made to fit fenders with the factory flares. I wound up cutting off the outside part of the flap (curved part) that would normally go on the outside of the fender if there where no factory flares. There are 3 holes and when you cut that part off, the flap it fits fine.

That pic is too small to see what you are talking about. Honestly, you could probably just make a bracket out of a thin piece of scrap metal. It's just a bracket that hangs down a few inches from where the flair bolts to the body so it doesn't flap around so much, and won't get sucked into the tire when reversing.
