O im not to worried about the where it happen, was more just curious on the what to do with the cut. Like you said he was probably just curious and ran it across something.

That's what I've been doing. Just dabbing it with a room-temp cloth to keep it clean.

I couldn't tell you the exact spot or anything but if I were guess it was trying to get to smell the neighbors dog through the fence. Probably just caught it just right. Sure didn't phase him at all

quick update on my pup's hip / overweight issues. She was prescribed a low dose of rimadyl (75 mg a day) and she has been on it for a week now. She is moving so so much better and smoother. Before her walking was all rigid and you could tell she was uncomfortable. Her walking is so much more "fluid" now. the vet said keep her on the rimadyl until she drops the weight, then we'll re-evaluate at that point. I'll be picking up her weight management dog food this weekend too, her current dog food is just about gone. It makes me happy to see her enjoying our walks and looking 100 times more comfortable than before.

Meet Mocha. Rescued him today from some people on Craigslist, poor feller was covered in flees, filthy, and starving. People posted him for free and we picked him up this evening. Got a bath, good grooming and a bowl of food. Has finally made up with my other labIMG_2816.jpg

Well, my little dude, Chance, lost his plums today. Gets to wear the cone of shame for about a week.

My new travel buddy! He's a Husky around 8-10 weeks old I adopted just over a week ago. I adopted him from a local rescue that found him and his 7 siblings when his previous owner was debating turning them over to a kill shelter. I feel lucky that the rescue was there at the right time to take them in and saved the previous owners from possibly making a bad decision of getting them all killed. 3 of his siblings were adopted within 12 hrs of being rescued and I was able to pick him up the next day. So far he has been amazing. He isnt to happy in the truck yet and whines a lot because he wants to be up with me in the front seat but I expect him to adjust to the back seat and eventually really like it. Atleast he doesnt get car sick! His house training is going well and he already likes his crate. Thats good because he doesnt have accidents in there so he is good over night or when I cant take him with me. He whined a little the first night but every night since then he hasnt whined at night.
    20170719_094111.jpg
He seems to like small dark places so I covered his crate with a blanket. not sure if he likes it more or not but he uses it when he pleases so I think the training is going well.

4th bath in 8 days to try and get rid of his fleas.
    20170726_204747.jpg
Still needs 2 more rounds of his puppy shots, should have round 2 on monday and round 3 2 weeks after. He'll get neutered once his balls drop. I also just found out that I am getting the hook up from a professional dog photographer on Saturday. She normally charges some ridiculous amount but if I sign a release to let her use the photos she'll shoot him and give me the digital copy's for free!
