Standard length is 13" with 600 for 2nd gen. I say on my buddy's 3rd gen it's 650 springs are standard on the kings with 13" springs.

World of a difference for me on and off road. I would recommend the adjusters If you have the money....it's worth every penny.

I was told from the guy at DSM that any lift higher than 2" will require relocation of the rear shocks.

You could be right. I have 2" rear, 2.5" front. Want to keep it the same when I change to kings.

Okay cool. Thats what I expected with the standard setup.

Hm. I emailed King and asked if there were 3rd gen specific kits but they said no. Said it was a direct carryover from the 2nd gen with no change in part number. I also inquired about spring rates from headstrong and they said they come with 600 standard

They should be. I'm pretty sure somewhere in this thread has a pic of the numbers on springs?

They are. Looks like mine came with 14" 600lbs. I ordered standard kings from headstrong fwiw. No custom spring request.

I am apparently confusing myself and others. Even in my OP I said they're 14" springs lol. I may be thinking of Fox stuff?

That does ring a bell. I think mesojdm or whatever his name is swapped his fox springs for 14" kings. The guy who does all the headlight/taillight mods. Ill see if i can find his post about it

Well I have no idea how a stock tacoma rides since mine came new with the ready lift. Its nit bad till you hit a bigger bump. I just want the same height i have, 2.5" front but a smoother ride on the road. Everything else is done from the dealer. ECGS bushing, sway bar relocate, perfect alignment etc. Absolutely no vibrations anymore.

I run Ko2s and 700 lbs springs and it feels just right!

Should be able to make that happen with the standard setup. You'll just have to adjust the collar to get the height you want. I'll post up how mine turns out height wise later this weekend but I'm shooting for minimal lift so
