Got my 10k service done today, came home and parked in the garage. Cut the grass and looked inder thr truck and I noticed a few oil spots on the ground and I come to find this...

I managed to change my oil at 5k without removing the skid without making one bit of a mess.

This is just pure sloppy and lazy work as far as I'm concerned. We'll see how I feel in the morning about sending these pics to the dealer

My dealer did the same thing to my OEM pro skid.
I'm waiting for that quality assurance survey to come in the mail, so I can make a comment on there. Hell, the first oil change I did on this truck, went cleaner than the dealers job. Embarrassing, these oil 'techs' don't take more pride in their work.

I see the old drain plug gasket! They didnt even remove it!

Techs hate those skids but there's no excuse for this.

I use my suction tool and wait for it to suck out oil from the top rather than disturbing the behemoth of a skid plate.

Note: I know you can drain it cleanly, but the risk of mess is higher.

I hate when you pay crazy dealer prices and then they do shoddy work..... I've had this happen multiple times at the BMW dealer when I brought my scrambler in...... On a different note, which RCI skids do you have, and are you happy with them? They seem to sell the most complete set of all the companies making them.

Happened to me before on a white vehicle at a dealer. Oil all over the skid, handprints all over the hood.

Hate skids? They put them on stock. No excuse.

It's risk of mess, broken bolts, and huffing the huge plate. Day in day out.

There really shouldn't be ports for the filter or drain. I just remove the damn thing and make sure it's left clean. (I'm far from a lube tech)

Full under armour plates made of steel are by far the worst, we have to decide the risk of mess vs removing a 6-8 foot piece of steel.

Messes are fine, just clean them. This tech from the post didn't give a fuck.
