Roof Baskets for our trucks?

Is there a roof basket that I can install without already having the factory roof rack?

I'm hoping to find a roof basket that just bolts to where the factory roof rack bolts under the black weatherstrips on the roof. Anything?

I'd rather pay for one basket, rather than a roof rack + a roof basket.

Amazon also has cheap baskets, also require thule/yakima bars.

 

You may have to get creative and search Yakima or Thule from another country, if you want it that bad.

I say this because another forum I frequent just had a member who was able to get some direct bolt on bar mounts from Yakima for his Land Cruiser, looks sick as their pedestals bolt right to where the factory has the nuts in the roof. Unfortunately they don't offer it in the US but did in AU. he had barely over 600 with it shipped from AU to the US and everything.

Problem there is I don't think the "Tacoma" is offered in AU.

I'm subd to see what you may come up with.

 

got the GOBI stealth on my truck, love it too. rated for 300lbs, comes with it's own gutter covers do you don't need to drill the factory covers, quiet as a mouse. I don't even know it's up there. GONI also makes a taller one, and I believe Baja Racks has one of there own. The Baja was 2/3rds the cost of GOBI, but I had a bad experience with there customer service, in hind site I'm glad I did because the crew at GOBI was fantastic to work with
