Before you give up on it maybe try again with a smaller more organized group of like minded people who want to take it slow and only greens

Smaller group with the right trucks and people is the way to go. You should not have been left wondering which way to go. My first time we had a big group that split up and it worked out well.

@jowybyo and I made it there by 1020, hit the trails by 1045. Grabbed a map, no radios, and did all the greens. The trails are really well marked and the map is easy to read. It's our second trip up, first trip was the last takeover. We were in a small group and we had biblical rains all day. It's not that bad.

Stuff to make go more off road
Whoever's group you were in should have made sure all trucks are accounted for. And newer guys shouldn't be trail gunners either.

I was greens all day because I never fixed my halfshaft and it was the pigs first trip out since lift. I wanted to make sure all was good. Also my trail partner nor I had a winch. I did get stuck once, quick pull with a strap and we were on our way. Next trip will be blues.

Who is game for a late August trip other than me?

For blues or greens? I'm down for greens because of no armor yet. Maybe by then, but we'll see.

All I had was sliders and never touched a thing. A lift and tires and pay attention, pick a line and go.

    I'll do greens and blues.
