I just upgraded my wheels and tires to 17" Pro Comp 7069's and BFG KO2's 275/70/17. So far I am very happy with the wheels and tires, hopefully the lift is next.

    A thing or two...
Finally got my ditch lights installed. I mounted the brackets on Wednesday evening, mounted the lights on Thursday evening, and installed the harness/switch on Friday morning/afternoon.

Yeah, I am having some issues with that. Rubbing usually occurs when I'm in reverse, or when the front shocks are compressed. I've done a little bit of trimming and that helped some, but I still have issues. I don't think there is much more I can do, however I think a suspension upgrade will help fix the issue.

It will not. Check out the CMC on here. It just cuts out a piece of metal and a new piece is welded in, to gain some tire clearance. Loads of people on here do it, and it's completely safe.

Because I was passed the fuq out. I went to Flagpole Knob on Friday night to camp with a couple of TW'ers and basically didn't sleep because of the weather. I drove home on Saturday after the trip got cut short (part breakage, not my parts) and slept for 12 hours. I might head out tonight after dark to see how the actual aim is, but they worked well on Friday night during the drive up to Flagpole Knob.

I just checked out the CMC, and I don't think that is where I am rubbing, actually I may be, but most of the rubbing isnon the plastic inside the wheel well on the passeneger side.

This weekend I continued with my rust restoration. I bought a 2006 DCSB TRD OR earlier this year and it came with a new frame. Of course being in the NE saltbelt it still had some problem areas. After a lot of research I found some products that would work for my situatio. This weekend I tackled all the minor rust spots on welds underneath the cab. I thought I was just gonna spray paint Eastwood Rust Encapsulator on everything but went with Corroseal, and it's now my new favorite rust fighting product. I highly recommend it.

    Before:
    IMG_7030.jpg
It looked like this in a lot of places. I took a wire wheel and Dremel to knock off all the loose rust.

    Corroseal:
    IMG_7033.jpg
Paint it on white and it turns black when it's done converting the rust. After
24 hours you have a paintable hard surface free of rust!

    Taped up:

Not cutting any corners...I don't want overspray on my beauty!

I'll be honest I was a bit nervous that the underside of my truck would look splotchy. Even though no one will see it it would still bother me. The rustoleum gloss grey enamel matched amazingly and I'm really happy with how it looks underthere now. I'll be able to see where I need to touch up next year no problem.

Next week: grind/sand the outside edge of the pinch weld, rust concert, paint with factory colors!
